NEP 2020
NEP 2020 About (Bachelor of Education)
Our College is Following of Two Years Course with Four Semesters
Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework, the 2-year B.Ed. in Maharashtra transitions into a specialized, graduate-level program tailored for students who already hold a 3-year bachelor's degree. It equips future educators with multidisciplinary skills, foundational stage training, and updated pedagogical techniques.
Structure and Key Highlights
Who It’s For: Designed exclusively for candidates who have successfully
completed a 3-year undergraduate degree in specialized subjects (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.).
Duration: 4 semesters spread across 2 academic years.
Curriculum Focus: NEP 2020 mandates an inclusive curriculum. The program balances theory with intensive, hands-on classroom training, community service, and internships tailored for diverse student needs.
Transition and Future Outlook
The Multidisciplinary Shift: Under NEP guidelines, standalone Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) are restructuring to become multidisciplinary components of larger universities.
4-Year ITEP vs. 2-Year B.Ed.: While the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) is gradually becoming the default standard for teaching, the 2-year B.Ed. remains the standard, fast-track route for those who decide to pursue a teaching career after completing a conventional degree.
